Veggie Pie!

I love veggie pie. Have I mentioned how much I love veggie pie? Never mind. I know I have. I like how it's so versitile that you can put whatever you want in it. This time I used up extra frozen brussle sprouts, zucchini from last year's garden and onion, garlic, rosemary, oregano and parsley from this year's garden.

Yes, I ate a piece of crust before I took the picture.

I love veggie pie!
The morning comes early. Sweet gardening dreams.

  1. This looks great! Is this a creamy based mixture or is it a quiche? Hard to tell from the pic but either way it looks delish!

  2. Quiche like, but only with 2 eggs. What makes it perfect is the brown mustard you spread on the crust before you fill it. You wouldn't believe it, but it makes a HUGE difference!

  3. Ah, well your love of veggie pie is my love of quiche. :-) I love me a good quiche, and after all a good quiche has veggies, too.

Brown mustard...I wouldn't have guessed that, but I will take your word for it.

  7. Yum. I like it too. Well I like veggie quiche. I've never made it with mustard.

  8. I have just discovered that mustard enhances the taste of a good caesar salad. Just add and mix a little to any creamy caesar dressing and it will taste like it would in a really good restaurant.
