:( I Lied

***Second post for today***
They just posted a freeze warning for this weekend.

Oh well. The cole crops should still do well. Now the fun can begin....serious planning for next year.

Anyone remember when the seed catalogues come out? Which ones should I request?

  1. Seed cataloges used to come out in January. Now they seem to have some war going on with each other, and they come out earlier and earlier. I got my first one 2 weeks ago!

  2. It's gonna be 31 here on Monday night, so I fully understand your concern. Gosh, it sure did sneak up on us! A movable garden would certainly be a way to solve the sunlight issue during the fall.

  3. It is turning cold very fast this year. We have yet to have a frost but many nights in the low 30's.

  4. We have a frost warning in London here any night now, I've picked the last of my tomatoes to be sure. My 2010 catalogs have started to arrive already. Once you ask them to send you one, they have your name on a mailing list and they don't stop!

  5. I love Baker Creek Heirloom catalogs! They have glossy, gorgeous huge photos that are great eye candy in the winter months! I also get Territorial Seed Co. and Seeds of Change also make appearances at my house.

  6. A friend of mine has a shady yard and placed two large potted tomatoes on a rolling cart so she could move them around to the sunny spots as the season changed. It is the only way she can grow tomatoes. Smart idea as she simply rolls the cart into the garage when the nighttime temperatures are too cold.
