I checked her this morning and found one nit that I missed, but no more live bugs. I'm going to sit her outside now that the rain has stopped and give another go at her. Hopefully the house isn't infested. If it was just isolated with her then I think we're okay. Now I'm just horridly terrified that I've infested myself. *groan*<br />Ribbithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01460673212389110633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4930778534030920874.post-52086157782301791692013-07-03T18:02:02.282-04:002013-07-03T18:02:02.282-04:00well chances are speaking from a childhood spent i...well chances are speaking from a childhood spent inflicted with the varmits that her rapunzel hair had something to do with it pets can carry them but they do not live on pets they just take rides along til they find the perfect host (someone with long hair, makes it easier to climb on to)The reason they do not live on pets is because they can't grab on to the hair, they stay on couches and bedding for a while as well just waiting.I remember getting into the car with my mom and feeling something on my forehead as I looked in the mirror OMG yeah a big ol' sucker it was gross and my mom checked me and checked me for days afterwards and nothing just the luck of the draw I guess, if your daughter gets long hair again make sure to braid her hair when she goes to school and it a high probability someone else at school/daycare(somewhere where other children are present)has it. BTW it doesn't make you a bad mom that you didn't notice for a while those suckers hide really really well trust me, Ok now I'm gonna go and have nightmares about them for the next 3 months or so my head is itchy all of a sudden .... I remember buying some kind of shampoo and a lice comb (louse comb?), using both for several days or a week, or maybe it was 10 days, whatever, and washing everything in hot water and drying in the dryer. It got rid of them, and nobody else got infected. Good luck!Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.com
